It’s all lip service.
If Republicans were really so committed to ending abortion, why didn’t they overturn Roe v. Wade when they controlled both houses of Congress in the 90s, or when Bush II was president? Because using anti-abortion rhetoric raises more money than actually taking steps to end abortions.
And as for the GOP constituents - I’m a firm believer that they’d rather not get what they want so they’d be able to complain about it.
I dont think they can overturn Roe v Wade. But they can enact some other stupid laws that challenge it.
