I loved playing baseball when I was a kid, probably because I was the pitcher. I find it boring to watch now, I much prefer football.

Baseball is a good game for kids - there are organized teams of course, but growing up in our neighborhood - all we needed was a bat and a ball and enough people to cover the bases, and we had a game. No expensive anything else needed.
