I wonder what it cost to charter buses to take the Senators over to the White House? I mean it must be all of a mile and a half. Couldn’t someone have cruised over to the Senate with the info? Could most of the Senators walked? It seems unnecessarily wasteful.

28 Senators are over the age of 70, 65 are over the age of 60… that’s a long way to ask them to walk at that age. Plus, there’s the chance that they could meet some of their constituents along the way and get an earful… we definitely can’t have that.
