I really think the ammosexual idea of “self defense” involves shooting at greater ranges than a shotgun could manage, and at a lot more targets than you could hit with 5 or 6 rounds before a prolonged reloading process. This matches the idea of shooting into a mob of “others” marching down the road to loot suburbia “when the welfare checks stop.”
