Don’t want to get mired in these myths again, but if the thief died before Christ, he’d be in ‘limbo/hell’ with the just of the Old Testament. Christ liberates all of them during his dead time, the end of his first coming. Called in medieval art “The Harrowing of Hell”.

True, but although there are some glimpses of that in the NT, the story is unbiblical.
