I know she doesn’t actually exist-what I don’t get is how this is marketing for anything. Jerkiness, hypocrisy, and poor spelling/grammar-it doesn’t seem like an attractive mix.

It’s a very cynical and I’ll admit counter intuitive approach to selling a product. But you have to realize that Dan is a completely deranged racist religious fanatic and abusive asshole. Part of his track record has been to approach small businesses with a bid to do SEO work, then when the business owner politely refuses to hire him he makes a video of himself giving a negative review of the company and uploads it to Youtube, effectively trashing them. It’s basically blackmail without the explicit upfront threat.
