re: #173 Blind Frog Belly White

I’d actually argue that it’s more complex, and here I’ll partially defend my idiot brother. He takes his Christian faith very seriously, and it tells him that he cannot take responsibility for electing someone whom would authorize an airstrike that would kill civilians.

Okay, I can respect that. TO AN EXTENT.

But if not voting for that candidate leads to the election of someone who would authorize a NUCLEAR strike on the same target, you become responsible for that as well. Either choice carries responsibility, which you can’t shuck by saying “It’s her fault if she didn’t win!” because the support you’re blaming her for not having includes your own.

Votes have real world consequences, so I’m inclined to give no weight at all to someone’s intent if they vote 3rd party while pretending to oppose Trump.

It’s an objective fact that voting 3rd party is half-assing the job of opposing Trump.

I also don’t see the benefit of protest votes in safe (D) states. Opposing Trump means giving his real opponent (i.e. Clinton) the largest possible mandate so that the Democrats can try to put the country back together after Trump’s loss.
