Now, I will caution that if the jury votes to convict after the state presents its case, then the “witch hunt” will simply move up a level. Rather than it being a corrupt prosecutor, it will be a corrupt judge. (That the jury is responsible for the actual conviction will mostly be lost; they may find fault with “corrupt NYC jurors,” but they will focus on the judge, and adverse rulings he made against the defense.) Then it will go up to the New York State Court of Appeals, and they will find something to complain about there. Then they will attack Governor Hochul for not pardoning him from these obviously bogus charges.
