in 1999, I was walking my two-year-old daughter. We ran across some remaindered 5 1/4” floppy discs on sale at a local shop. I told her that she would someday be able to tell her grandchildren about how she saw such a thing.

And I also told her about how when I was born, a telephone, TV, music player, radio and typewriter were all separate devices that could only communicate through bulky analog technology platforms…

I’m not even that old and it’s pretty cool to think about how different it was when I was a kid to what kids are growing up with these days. My nephew is amazed that at one time if you wanted to watch a tv show you had to watch it at the exact time that it was on and that with our first tv you had to actually get up to change the channel and the volume. :)
