Around here… with a situation like that… when the roads are almost impassable… we stay or make some arrangements to stay somewhere close by… a friend, a hotel…
I remember 4 years ago, I was on a 6 month contract at a big medical software company, and they were predicting 3-4 foot of snow north of Denver (I was working in Lewisville)… I made arrangements to stay at a hotel in the business park… I came in the next day… I was one of about 12 employees out of 200 people working there that came in.
I did that because that day was the last day on contract and I wanted them to remember what I did. Figured that was good for business.
