The American version of these reality shows really stress conflict. Not only the cooking shows, but the dance shows, etc. It’s a sad statement about our culture - obsessed with conflict, we need it apparently.

Have you seen the Australian version of the MasterChef series? Totally different vibe.

I come across the Aussie version of cooking shows all the time but haven’t taken the time to watch them. Maybe I should just to check out the different vibe.
