To be fair, whether it was “a smart move” or not depends on what Palin plans on doing post-resignation—which is something we, and certainly those polled, don’t know.

So actually, it’s kind of a silly question, and answering it is merely buying into the trash-Palin industry.

She’s already done something: For good or ill, she got the end-of-life counseling provision out of whichever bill it was in.
