Perhaps the most powerful argument for legal hard drugs is the potential to take away the criminal infrastructure, swap it out for a far less harmful model. In important ways the drug is not the big problem, the criminal and violent infrastructure that comes with it is. More guys high? Not a big deal except perhaps for their immediate circle.
