Chucky aside, I’m seeing wingnuts aplenty wanting to argue “operator error” as a way of avoiding any discussion on the poor state of rail infrastructure and the lack of safety equipment despite both the federal mandate and the fact that it’s 2015. Just say “There’s no way to prevent operator error” and then snidely remark that any calls for more funding to cover safety equipment is calling for more “shovel-ready work.”
