We’ve all been saying here that the press should get up and walk out, or not show up, at press briefings without camera, audio, policy responses and insults. Callum Borchers at WaPo says that is just what the administration wants. They want to stop regular press briefings, but not take the blame.

I know what I want to do, which is slap some people into next month, but I’m not sure what the right thing to do is. Probably keep asking policy questions, even with no answers, and (try to) ignore the insults and outrages of the day. Let the talking head back in the studio point those things out.
