All jokes aside, this is actually the fourth time this has happened; first, with auto registration, again with highway toll sticker e-shop, then yet again with COVID vaccination registration, and now this.

It’s a running joke here. Apparently, the government is utterly incapable of coming up with e-services and that’s most likely because none of them are even remotely familiar with IT. Hell, the Prime Minister doesn’t even know how to do anything more sophisticated than post photos on Instagram.

Yep, that makes sense. To be fair, most governments are pretty incompetent when it comes to that sort of thing, simply because it is in the nature of government bureaucracy to farm things out to the lowest bidder, and in IT, that never ends well.
