So, folks, since we’re past the 100 comment mark, I feel justified in telling you about my test ride of the Jag XK8 today.

From a dead stop at the bottom of the steepest hill on Bainbridge Island, I was doing 70+ mph in under five seconds. Maybe less. My heart rate was definitely up, so I may have counted fast.

Given that the top speed here on the island is 40, I’m going to get up early tomorrow and head for Mount Rainier. Just hoping my bud didn’t check the odometer before he tossed me the key.

When the Lincoln gets out of the shop, I may offer him a straight-up trade. My Connie with only 53k miles for his 131k Jag. He’s a family man, he needs a bigger car.

Finally, a James Bond car and a James Bond gun. What could go wrong?
