I don’t think they even think that. So many people called Greenwald out on his original tweet (for either being stupid or deliberately smearing you) that he had to come up with a different explanation. Because, obviously, he cannot back down from anything, ever. So, he spent all day coming up with this new “reason.” The super extra helping of smear of you was a bonus of his “explanation.”

He’d rather double down on the defamation than apologize. That says all we need to know about him.

I said yesterday that Greenwald would either ignore it or use some dudebro pretzel logic to justify it. He chose the latter.
