I think the problem with our society is we get amnesia too easily. Certainly that helped Bush’s rise in 2000 or the Republican “Revoluton” in 1994 or the Tea Party rise in 2010 and later Trump in 2016. The past gets overglamorized by people who never had to live it or if they did live have an agenda in wanting to ignore the worst parts of it.

Look at what an easy job historical revisionists have with a populace that does not know history besides a few names, dates and broad and often misleading concepts.
