Much as I dislike his policies, I disagree. he campaigned on almost nothing but vague reassurances that he thought exactly as you did, and so there was no need to go into specifics.

OK, so he ran on fluff—no disagreement there. But I think he did that so he could use the oft used Obamism “I’ve always believed [fill in the blank]”. It just so happens that [fill in the blank] is mostly hard left.
