I’m sorry, do you know anything about the history of alcohol prohibition in the US, or not?

Can you explain how tobacco prohibition would be successful, and not lead to a large upsurge in crime?

Tobacco is far more deadly and thus prohibition would be far more popular.
Even 50% compliance would be well worth it in health benefits and treatment savings.
Black markets would be problematic, but could be policed and would be worth the trouble.
