As a by the way on the tax thing, there’s actually federal action in progress: the streamlined sales tax project (aka SSTP at streamlinedsalestax.org ). The goal is a uniform sales tax - not percentage rate, but in all other aspects - to be combined with a more-or-less central processing site. It’s hoped that this will meet the Quill points and intents that allow cross state sales tax with low burdens.
