Yep.

Everyone talks about elections at the federal level. And while important, they are not, by far the only ones that matter. A LOT of this infested rot is at the state and local levels. It’s like the lower down the ladder you go, the worse it gets in far too many places in this country right now.

Yeah, that is why it is called the base. And the national candidates are built on that base.

In this case though, we need to call it the base base.
