Lifelong resident of Phoenix here, yeah, you really take it for granted how stunning it can be here, even a simple 1 mile hike reveals so much.

But, the inferno of summer approaches..steeling myself for weeks of 110 degrees and it being 100 degrees at 11 PM and 95 degrees at 6 am…

Last winter my wife and I helped our son and DIL sell Christmas trees in the Phoenix area. I was amazed how many families did their tree shopping between 7 pm and 10 pm. Suddenly I realized they were just carrying their summer habit of shopping in the cooler evenings into a year round activity.
