How was he? Saw a documentary that his daughter did a few years before he died and Peck always seemed like a real class act. Definitely one of my favorite of the old time actors. My own fun fact- my grandfather was in a fraternity with Gene Kelly at the University of Pittsburgh. Even read stories about Kelly later acting as a sort of arbitrator between actors and the studio execs which is funny since my grandfather worked for the NLRB for years.
My dad said Mr. Peck was a great guy - very classy. Also, according to him, so was Cary Grant.
I had to thinkā¦..he was a stand-in for Mr. Peck in the film The Gunfighter.
