I’ve only got about ten minutes before I have to go, but I really need to ask this question:

Would folks here currently saying Lena Dunham is being maligned still be saying that if we were talking about something a conservative woman had done to her younger sister as a child?

This is a stupid and offensive question, as others have already well-explained. The only thing I’ll add is that it is categorically impossible for a child to be a movement conservative, so slamming the child for the sins of the adult would never be appropriate.
