It didn’t bring him down. He was never a shoe in for re-election. I don’t know why you act like he was. There’s a difference between being slightly favored due to incumbency and a decent economy to being overwhelmingly favored.

I find it bad enough that Trump had any reasonable chance of getting re-elected. And although a sound economy & low unemployment would favor him, he is losing those advantages as we speak.
