re: #183 Targetpractice

My cynical muse is whispering in my ear again, suggesting that perhaps Dems should listen to the critics and avoid going to the polls next year with promises of what they’ll do/pass if they keep majorities in Congress. That what they should do instead is go to voters and be honest: “We are running for no other reason than to keep Republicans out of power. We’re not promising anything specific because we can’t guarantee we’ll deliver on it. But we promise we’ll pass…something, no matter how lackluster or pointless, because we’ve decided that’s all you lot care about. But the one thing we can assure you of is that we’ll be the ones calling the shots. So get out there and vote for us, because if you’re lucky you might get something worthwhile in the year between election seasons.”

and if you vote for Ralph Nader and Jill Stein, that will bring the revolution and all progressives will be elected next election, assuming there is a next election, and unicorn rainbow pony. Because her e-mails.
