As long as the wolves eat their fair share of lefties, I’m all for restoration. It seems to me that lefties get eaten by wildlife in a disproportionate level, possibly because they think they can negotiate.
Unfortunately, in this case, the wolves have become habituated to the lefties who raise them in captivity before they release them. They really prefer cows, sheep, dogs, and the occasional horse. The best counter strategy seems to be large ranch dogs who will cross-breed with the wolves. The lefties seek out and kill those litters.
