If you’re going to pay it off quickly, then it’s probably better to buy through any credit card that offers rewards points (like Amex Membership Rewards, Capital One rewards points, etc., or airline miles affinity cards), than to finance through a store, unless you’re talking about 0% financing or similar.

Yeah, this. I buy a lot of things on my credit card if they are things I’m not going to be able to pay for in cash. Store financing has kind of gone the way of the dodo with the ridiculous interest rates and the popularity of cash-back/reward-points cards.
