Words have meaning. Communication fails when we use them incorrectly. We’re watering this one down to where it will soon be meaningless or have a changed definition. See “entitlement” for a good example of how to ruin a perfectly good word.

Note this pedantry ever only goes one way, per always. Anything to avoid using a word to describe a white perp that’s de facto reserved for just about any crime a non-white person commits.
