So Zeldin and the DA cooked this up with the “attacker,” who, I believe, did no damage, so they could find something to hang on the current administration.

Did I get that right?

I would not assume a conspiracy without evidence; they could just be exploiting an opportunity this guy presented. Now if evidence of a connection between the Zeldin Campaign and the attacker is found, that should be pursued.
