It seems that today’s popular culture seems to be nothing more than a reverberation of that of the Baby Boomers, updated to fit current times.

I loved Star Trek, and I plan on seeing the movie(s), but are there any original ideas out there in movieland? It seems to be that all of the really big blockbusters have their roots in Boomer culture.

I’m saying this as a Boomer and one who is familiar with that time, warts and all. While I enjoy a lot of this rehash, at some level, it’s somewhat troubling.

Just my humble opinion…….

The “Baby Boomer” generation, as far as movies are concerned, was the last generation that had an imagination.
