No surprise here, but CCJ does not understand how real journalism works.

Apparently, we can only trust on-the-record sources — and CCJ’s paid informants — and no one else.

This is all about publicity for him. He needs to stay in the limelight, and he does that by staking out intentionally controversial claims. He chose the Sony hack because there’s almost no degree of evidence that can ever be offered that he won’t be able to unilaterally discount. Right wingers reflexively refuse to trust the administration, so it doesn’t matter what the NSA / DIA / NCSD come out with, he’ll simply say they’re lying and his followers will believe it based on his own anonymously based raw assertion.

In the worst case scenario for him, if incontrovertible proof of NK involvement comes out, it will almost certainly include an element of infiltration inside Sony, so he’ll fall back on his claims of it being an inside job, say he was half right, and pat himself on the back for trolling the media successfully once more.
