I have been told by wingnuts that the small GHW Bush tax hikes IMMEDIATELY caused the recession of 1991, whereas the much larger Clinton tax hike of 1993 didn’t cause a recession until 2000.

Not only that, but the Reagan tax cuts of 1981 caused the expansion of 1993-2000.

And the whole Real Estate/Mortgage Backed Securities bubble was caused by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, both of whom were in the minority in their respective houses, and had been since (mostly) since 1995. When asked how they managed to keep Republicans from doing anything to curb the excesses in the mortgage industry, they post a video. Pressed to name the bills that the GOP brought up which Dodd and Frank somehow managed to stop, they call you a libtard and tell you that you don’t understand civics.

also, simpler more information poor form: recession was caused by democrats forcing the banks to give mortgages to “unqualified minorities”. when asked why they use the word “minorities”, the answer is “why do democrats blame everything on raaaacism”
