I think people here are continually projecting this as a failure of the Democratic campaign.

The Democratic party ran a fine campaign. The election was about recentering White America. Message received. Stop pillorying our guys for running an objectively better campaign with an objectively better candidate. If the response is Hillary’s negatives, we know that shit is false. The electorate *chose* to believe lies, because their purpose was to recenter White (Straight, Christian) America.

The part everyone forgot (including myself), is that there are a fuck of a lot of white people in this country. Every other demographic went overwhelmingly for Clinton, so the only way she could have won was to…wait for it…recenter White (Straight, Christian) America. Which is the campaign she was going to be accused of running, but not the campaign she ran.

I’m satisfied with the campaign she ran. I’m less satisfied with the population that filed protest votes because of their inability to not center their Whiteness (Straight, Christian), and thereby allowed the racist, misogynistic, xenophobic section of the country whose only check is the Federal Government a firm grasp on the country.
