One problem Dems so far have had in explaining M4A or other universal systems is that 1) Yeah, taxes will go up, but you’re already paying that money to insurance companies. You might not see all of it in your paycheck, but your employer calls it compensation anyway, and 2) Properly done, M4A might not ‘get rid of’ private insurance, but for most people should render private insurance redundant and stupid.

In addition, Change Research just published their general election polls for South Carolina taken a couple of weeks ago, and they’re… not good for Warren or Harris; Warren would get a sub-Mondalian 34% of the vote in South Carolina and Harris 33% (Clinton won 41%). Nominate either and kiss the entire South and the Senate goodbye.
