Is there any reason to assume that just because someone is wearing a mask labelled “Antifa” that the person supports Antifa, instead of being a Proud Boy trying to instigate violence?

There’s reason to believe that anybody wearing a mask labelled “antifa” is, in fact, not antifa. They don’t do branded merch. The whole point of their generic outfits is that anybody can pick up the pieces anywhere; a ski mask from the sporting goods store, black shirts and sweatshirts and pants from anyplace that sells shirts and sweatshirts and pants, etc.
