That’ll work, but I’d hate to ditch a $100 knife if I could fix it. I used to would have sworn by Gerber, but they’ve not been particularly good for some time now. It is sad.

Couple of years ago, while off-roading, I found a brand new Gerber lockback lying beside the trail. I picked it up, wiped off the dust, and put it in my boot.

After several attempts to put a good edge on that thing, I realized that someone had not dropped that knife; they had pitched it away in frustration.
