A wide variety of different people, including a lot of atheists.

The point is: Right now, we have extremist Christian politicans in the US actually getting legislation passed, like the wonderful bill to re-rape rape victims in Oklahoma. These Christians are not only not repudiated by many of their fellow Christians, but elected to office.

Now, I don’t assume that a moderate Christian bears any responsibility for those people, because they are, well, a moderate Christian. I do assume that extremists hate moderates of their own faith too— which is true.

Al-queda would love to blow up the Sufi Park51 project. That a lot of people are trying to stop it from being built must be endlessly amusing to those fanatics.

Stop the building of a community center for moderate Muslims, the Imam of which has supported Israel, while at the same time prosecuting a war in Afghanistan that depends on working with more conservative Muslims.

What an insane thing.
