Maybe a 13 hour filibuster will cause that little lightbulb in their heads to flicker.

Thing about it is that these bills never come up in state legislatures where there’s actually the chance that Republicans will have to filibuster. Like Texas, Ohio is a legislature where the best the Democrats there can home for is it gets to the floor for a vote. I understand the argument that it’s about the irony and about making a point, but the point is sort of lost when Republicans hold enough seats that the bill might not get out of committee.
