I find it troubling that people like Santorum and his ilk, can cherry pick verse from their Bible when it suits their purposes, and spit on the other passages about judgment, and the poor, and the infirm and those seeking shelter.

That is the key reason that our Founding Fathers insisted on the separation of Church and State
