On Wednesday afternoon, my father (who is a very physically health man of 80) had a seizure. He was alone, and they think he might have been alone and in seizure for an hour and a half before anyone noticed.

He was in his car, but in the parking lot of his office. He is a dentist.

Anyway they called an ambulance and called me. I arrived just as the ambulance was breaking the window in his car and pulling him out.

Once we got to the hospital, they did a CT scan, and learned he had a tumor.

We have learned that because of the location, and size it is inoperable, and that there is nothing anyone can do. There is no treatment.

I learned today that my father, who was until just a few days ago, vital healthy and active will die in 2-3 months.

It took 3 days, and the hard part is that he seems to have recovered from the seizure. He has a few hallucinations ever hour, like he is reading a book that isn’t there, or that he is repairing a cabinet, but today he just seemed so much better. However every doctor tells us that it is very short term recovery, and that the tumor is very aggressive. He will sleep more, he will hallucinate more, and he will die.

I write this here because although I am “class of 2004” and most everyone still here thinks I am a right wing dink… LGF has meant a lot to me in the past 7-8 years. I guess I just wanted to document it here. Just like I have documented so many of my thoughts, opinions, and life events.

So I just wanted to say that.
