Well, I don’t consider myself a legal scholar, but I know we have at least one or two banging around, so here’s the terms of O’Keefe’s probation from his little wiretap stunt back in ‘10. But just being a layman, I can already see that he might be considered in violation of his probation:

Doesn’t seem like he was just associated, but actively participated in the crime.

I think that they set it up so that no crime was committed. They only asked whether they could vote under a dead persons name, but didn’t actually try to do so?

What they showed is that if someone intended to, they could conceivably have committed a crime.

This is what he thinks is “investigative journalism.”
