The GQP still want it to be 1955 where the family man with a high school diploma in hand works a 40 hour work week at the local auto plant making enough in a single paycheck to not only keep his wife in nylons and new shoes on his kids feet, but can also afford a home in suburbia with a big yard, brand new mid-range family sedan, all the latest gadgets around the house, and still have money left over for Junior’s college fund and perhaps a week’s vacation once a year.
