Buc-ee’s, In-N-Out, and Aldis prove you don’t need to be an ass to your employees here in Texas. I don’t know what Kroger pays, but they’re unionized, which I think is pretty cool as well.

Randall’s is also decent to their workers from what I understand. My job here in Austin is in workers’ compensation law and we can’t help but take note of who treats their employees like trash. Unfortunately it is true that it is hard to find caring employers. For the record, HEB DOES NOT carry workers’ compensation insurance. Nor does Wal-Mart, though that should be no surprise.
