Why I think Trump will not be located behind bars: he has SS protection for life.

And I can’t imagine any NY jail or prison facility that will allow federal agents armed with automatic weapons constantly being in said facility.

So I suspect that Merchan will simply let Trump out on probation. Hopefully for a full 4 years, requiring Trump to remain in NY the whole time, and to have no contact with any criminal, which rules out some of his associates being in contact with him.

Also, a big fine would be nice. Merchan can direct that it goes to public agencies that help people with businesses, as this was a business crime.

And since the crimes involved paying off a sex worker, it’d be nice if Merchan required Trump to pay a nice chunk of change to charities that help in sex trafficking.
