This idea that “outing” more republicans will somehow help promote gay rights is completely diluted. Ted Haggard was outed in arguably the most definitive way possible. Today, he is still the same anti-gay bible thumping idiot he has always been. He is trying desperately to convince the entire world that he is not gay - he just has occasionally uncontrollable impulses to to gay things.

How many of the world’s strongest opponents of gay rights need to be outed before we are willing to admit that anti-gay sentiments transcend personal knowledge?
