Here’s an NRO piece I think folks here will like better, and its actually about the Ferguson shooting and subsequent protests:

The Right’s Wrong Reaction to the Missouri Shooting

By Charles C. W. Cooke

Unfortunately, a number of the comments continue with the conflation, and in a couple of cases the reason is clear: Those commentators see conceding any point to ‘the left’ as surrender and believe that whatever claims the ‘other side’ makes must be rejected on that basis alone. It a very toxic version of the “Not Invented Here” phenomenon.

I’m not going to get into this too much, but there may be some big holes in this article. One in particular. No matter what this guy thinks about Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, he would be well to remember that many times it is the community and the families that ask both of them to come and help.

Also, much if it is just a bandage of conservative cliches trying to cover a wound that needs stitches. Much of it can be turned back onto some of the conservatives too. I guess he doesn’t find the rhetoric of Hannity, Limbaugh and Beck to be as disgusting as he apparently sees Jackson and Sharpton.

Basic recommendation to the author. Look in the mirror. And before you do, take off the blindfold.
