I don’t know why pro-Israel Jews would not want to be connected to the Christian Right,

One reason is that the Far Right Christians see Israel as theirs after the End Times, which doesn’t include Jews. Also, people like Pat Robertson make us very very nervous. They aren’t really pro-Israel when you do the research.
